THE PRACTICE

Body, breath,
study.

Practice finds its meaning in what it teaches us. For me, āsana, prāṇāyāma and meditation belong to the same enquiry, informed by the texts and respect for the traditions of yoga.

Jivamukti Yoga

An integrative method

Jivamukti is an integrative method bringing together four main paths of yoga: rāja yoga, jñāna yoga, bhakti yoga and karma yoga. In class, we work with āsana (postures), prāṇāyāma, the study of śāstra, mantra chanting, dhāraṇā (concentration) and dhyāna (meditation).

Dhyāna

Meditation

Sitting, feeling, listening. Meditation continues this exploration of attention. I share guided practices to help give it a place in everyday life.

Śāstra

Texts & philosophy

Reading the texts of yoga, questioning their meaning and relating them to experience. This study informs my classes and gatherings devoted to philosophy.

READINGS & REFERENCES

An ancient wisdom
to rediscover.

For me, the ancient texts carry a wisdom that contemporary life sometimes leads us to forget. The teachings of yoga offer us the chance to rediscover this truth and give it a place in our lives.

Some of the texts and voices that inform my practice.

ANCIENT TEXT

Haṭha Yoga Pradīpikā

An ancient text that speaks to me deeply. A reference for my interest in the practices of haṭha yoga and the wisdom they convey.

ANCIENT TEXT

Bhagavad Gītā

Another important reading for me, opening a reflection on action, discernment and the way we live.

CONTEMPORARY REFERENCE

David Frawley

His work on yoga and āyurveda is among my references, accompanying my interest in Indian traditions.

CONTEMPORARY REFERENCE

TRANSMISSION

Jeremy.
A student first.

I discovered yoga at 29. In Luxembourg, the teaching of Magali Lehners and Alexandra Colombo inspired me to go further. I then travelled to Govardhan Eco Village in India for my Jivamukti teacher training.

On returning, I continued my apprenticeship with Magali. Today, my teaching remains rooted in that transmission and in study. Respect for tradition and the desire to keep learning give direction to my practice.

MY TEACHER

Magali Lehners

She guided me in learning to teach, so that I could share what I had received.

About Magali

Hairdressing is also part of my story, through BY JEREMY in Luxembourg. Another facet of my work, shaped by attention to the people I meet.

The thread of the week: the five kośa
